From the first wildlife drive in Etosha to the final journey across the Namib, this route brings together Namibia's varied landscapes at a comfortable private-tour pace. Day 1 · Windhoek to Waterberg
Travel north from Windhoek through farmland and small towns toward the red sandstone cliffs of the Waterberg Plateau. After checking in, spend the afternoon on a guided nature walk, reserve drive or at leisure beneath the escarpment. The area provides a gentle transition into safari country, with woodland, birdlife and broad views across the surrounding plains. Because this is a private journey, stops for photographs, refreshments and short walks can be adjusted to the group's pace. The route is part of the experience, with time to pause at viewpoints and enjoy the changing landscape along the way.

Day 2 · Waterberg to Etosha East
Continue north toward Etosha National Park, passing cattle country and increasingly open bushland. Enter through the eastern side and begin wildlife viewing as soon as you are inside the park. The route to the first accommodation introduces Etosha's pale plains and waterholes, where giraffes, zebra, antelope and elephants may appear before the first full safari day. Wildlife sightings remain natural and cannot be guaranteed, but the varied habitats create excellent opportunities throughout the day. Day 3 · Eastern Etosha
Spend the day exploring the eastern waterholes, open grasslands and mopane woodland of Etosha National Park. Morning and afternoon drives focus on elephants, lions, giraffes, zebra, antelope and the park's varied birdlife. Breaks are taken at designated camps and viewpoints, while the route remains flexible so your guide can respond to recent sightings and conditions around the waterholes. Day 4 · Across Etosha National Park
Spend time among Spitzkoppe's granite formations before continuing across the Namib plains toward the Atlantic. Isolated inselbergs and dry riverbeds gradually give way to coastal fog and cooler air. Arrive in Swakopmund with time to explore the waterfront, walk through the historic centre or settle into the hotel before dinner. An open-vehicle safari can be arranged for a different perspective, or the private vehicle can follow a flexible route selected by your guide. Start and finish in Windhoek on this privately guided wildlife circuit of approximately 1,500 to 1,700 km. Daily driving and wildlife-drive distances are estimates; road conditions, Etosha gate times, the location of confirmed accommodation and time spent at waterholes can change the schedule.
