About us
Our origin story
The idea behind Onaluru came to life in November 2024. It grew from many talks between Luca and Rudolf, from the Namibian Atlantic coast to the plains of Damaraland and beyond. During those moments we spoke about life, shared ideas, and slowly understood that we wanted to build something together. The same thought kept coming back. We wanted to show Namibia in the way we experience it.
The name Onaluru comes from that shared story.
O is for the ocean that links Namibia with Europe.
Na is for Namibia.
Lu is for Luca.
Ru is for Rudolf.
Onaluru was born from a friendship and from the places that shaped it. What started as simple conversations during our travels became a path we chose to share, across wide landscapes, quiet roads, and the parts of Namibia we know well. It is a journey we decided to open for others too, one step at a time, the same way it began for us.
