Our origin story
The idea behind Onaluru came to life in November 2024. It was born from many conversations between Luca and Rudolf, from the Namibian Atlantic coast to the plains of Damaraland and beyond. During those moments, we spoke about life, shared ideas, and slowly understood that we wanted to build something together. The same thought kept returning: we wanted to show Namibia in the way we experience it.
The name Onaluru was inspired by the moment our paths crossed.
O is for the ocean that links Namibia with Europe.
Na is for Namibia.
Lu is for Luca.
Ru is for Rudolf.
Onaluru Safari and Tours was born from a friendship and from the timeless places we travelled through. What started as simple conversations during our travels became a path we chose to share, across wide landscapes, panoramic roads, and the parts of Namibia we deeply admire. Our aim is to offer an unforgettable experience, guided by professionals, with time, presence, and respect for the places we cross, the Onaluru way.

Luca loves to immerse himself in nature, learn new things and think about the next big idea. He has a passion for creating unique traveling experiences and finding ways of improving the life of the many locals that make each of our guests' travels unforgettable.
Rudolf Naibab
Co-founder, safari and tours guide
Rudolf thrives on adventure and living the outskirts. He fills the room with his laughter and good vibes. With decades of experience in the travel sector, Rudolf is among the most knowledgeable and respected guides in Namibia. He is a true explorer at heart and knows just about everyone in the industry!
Our office
Our office is located on the Atlantic coast of Namibia, in central Swakopmund, at the address 9 Tobias Hainyeko Street, Swakopmund, Namibia. This is where all the magic happens: from discussing and organizing new trips, to following your journey in South-West Africa, making sure that everything is fine and accounted for. Our knowledgeable employees are always striving to make your trip hassle-free and support our guides and guests on the road.
Our vehicles
Namibia’s distances and road conditions require vehicles that are reliable, comfortable, and suited to a wide range of terrain. At Onaluru Safari & Tours, we select vehicles based on practicality, safety, and the specific needs of each itinerary.
For private safaris and smaller groups, we use well-maintained 4x4 vehicles such as the Toyota Fortuner. These vehicles are suitable for gravel roads, remote areas, and national parks, while offering a comfortable ride over long distances.
For larger groups, we arrange spacious minibuses and touring vans that provide ample seating and luggage capacity. The vehicle is always matched to the group size and route to ensure efficiency and comfort throughout the journey.
All vehicles used on our tours are roadworthy, regularly maintained, and equipped for long-distance travel in Namibia’s climate. Air conditioning, sufficient luggage space, and practical safari configurations are standard considerations.
