The Journey, Day by Day
Head north from Windhoek via Waterberg and Etosha into Kaokoland, allowing two nights near Epupa Falls and the Kunene River. Return south through Palmwag and Damaraland to Twyfelfontein, Spitzkoppe and Swakopmund. Day 1 · Windhoek to Waterberg
Travel north from Windhoek through farmland and small towns toward the red sandstone cliffs of the Waterberg Plateau. After checking in, spend the afternoon on a guided nature walk, reserve drive or at leisure beneath the escarpment. The area provides a gentle transition into safari country, with woodland, birdlife and broad views across the surrounding plains. Day 2 · Waterberg to Etosha East

Day 13 · Swakopmund to Windhoek
Leave the Atlantic coast and travel inland across the Namib plains toward the central highlands. The road passes small towns and granite outcrops before climbing toward Windhoek. Arrive for an airport transfer or city accommodation; travellers flying from Walvis Bay can instead end the programme at the coast, and extra nights can be added on request. Timing is coordinated with the onward flight or accommodation booking, and additional services can be arranged when required. The programme remains flexible around confirmed departure times.
