The Journey, Day by Day
Follow a broad Namibia circuit from Windhoek to the dunes of Sossusvlei, the Atlantic coast at Swakopmund, the granite peaks of Spitzkoppe and the rocky valleys of Damaraland. Several days in Etosha lead to a final stop near Waterberg or a conservation reserve. The distances below are estimates; routes and activities can shift with weather, roads and wildlife activity.
Day 1 · Windhoek to Sesriem
Leave Windhoek and travel south-west through open farmland, mountain passes and the broad landscapes of central Namibia. The scenery becomes steadily drier as the road approaches the Namib Desert. Pause at selected viewpoints and small settlements before reaching the Sesriem area, where the red dunes catch the late-afternoon light and the quiet of the desert begins to settle in. Day 2 · Sossusvlei, Deadvlei and Sesriem Canyon
Enter Namib-Naukluft Park around sunrise, when the dunes are cool and their long shadows shape the landscape. Stop at Dune 45 before continuing by 4x4 into Sossusvlei and Deadvlei, where ancient camel-thorn trees stand against white clay and orange sand. Later, explore the narrow rock walls of Sesriem Canyonbefore returning to the accommodation for a relaxed evening. Day 3 · Sesriem to Swakopmund
Cross the Namib Desert toward the Atlantic coast, following gravel roads through changing plains, dry river valleys and the Gaub and Kuiseb passes. Stop in Solitaire and at the Tropic of Capricorn when the route allows. The air becomes cooler as Swakopmund approaches, and the day ends beside the ocean with time for a walk through town or along the waterfront. Day 4 · Swakopmund and Walvis Bay

A quieter day can combine the Walvis Bay lagoon, waterfront views and free time in Swakopmund. Activities are confirmed in advance so the day balances adventure, wildlife and time by the Atlantic. Day 5 · Swakopmund to Spitzkoppe

Timing is coordinated with the onward flight or accommodation booking, and additional services can be arranged when required. The programme remains flexible around confirmed departure times.

Day 13 · Departure from Windhoek
Transfer to Hosea Kutako International Airport according to the confirmed flight time. If departure is later in the day, a short city tour, craft market visit or relaxed lunch can be arranged before leaving Windhoek. Your guide assists with the final transfer and check-in timing, bringing the journey to a comfortable close. Start and finish in Windhoek on this privately guided Namibia circuit of approximately 2,400 to 2,700 km. Daily distances and times are estimates; gravel roads, optional coastal activities, the selected final reserve and wildlife stops can change the schedule. Desert-adapted elephants and other wildlife may not be seen. Accommodation, meals and included activities are as confirmed in the final travel proposal.
